“The Almanac” is an international biennial exhibition created by the Consortium Museum in 2014.
After several years shaken up by the health crisis, the Consortium Museum announces the fourth edition of this flagship event, which brings together artists invited to exhibit according to a simple principle: one room, one artist. It is therefore in fourteen distinct spaces of the building, transformed by Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines in 2011, that the building is deployed. Almanac 23. Invited by the Consortium Museum curatorial team (Franck Gautherot, Seungduk Kim, Seungduk Kim, Stéphanie Moisdon and Éric Troncy), the artists exhibited show a subjective range of international creation through paintings, sculptures, photographs, photographs, photographs, photographs, videos and installations, some of which were created on site especially for this exhibition.
This biennial is resolutely without a particular theme and trusts the spectator to perceive for himself the precise look at the art of our time made up of the fourteen proposals designed by the artists and curators.
